Academics Overview
At CCA, children and young people are taught in a decidedly Christian environment so that they will be equipped academically and spiritually to live Christ-centered lives. We are accredited by and a member of the American Association of Christian Schools. CCA is also a member of the Indiana Association of Christian Schools, a state chapter of the AACS.
We have a very strong academic program, taught by well-trained and well-qualified faculty. We offer academic classes for 4 year olds (1/2 day and full day). We offer half-day and full-day kindergarten (K-5) classes, as well as traditional elementary classes using primarily the A Beka Book curriculum. Field trips, children’s choir, music class, computer classes, physical education, and daily Bible classes help to ensure a well-rounded education. Art projects are a regular part of the curriculum.
Our junior high and high school students are educated through a traditional, college preparatory course of study using a combination of A Beka Book, BJU Press, and Saxon Math curriculums. All students must complete the Core 40 requirements plus additional credits in order to graduate with a college prep diploma. We also offer an honors diploma which includes the Core 40 and 8 additional in credits in Bible, Science, Foreign Language, and Math. In addition to their regular course work, there are weekly chapel services, private music lessons, student council, state-wide academic and fine arts competitions, athletics, and retreats. Our graduates are accepted at many different colleges and universities, both public and private, and work and serve in a variety of careers and ministries.
